By accessing or using SnoobieApp ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

SnoobieApp is a community-focused platform that enables users to create personalized visual social stories using artificial intelligence. Our service allows parents, teachers, therapists, and caregivers to generate custom social stories with text and images to help children understand routines, transitions, and social situations.

The Service operates on a pay-as-you-go model where users receive free credits upon signup and pay only for the AI processing they use. No subscriptions or recurring fees are required.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use SnoobieApp, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account (or have parental consent if under 18)

Pay-As-You-Go Billing

Free Credits

New users receive 100,000 free credits upon account creation. These credits can be used to generate stories and are deducted based on actual AI API usage.

Usage-Based Billing

After free credits are exhausted, you may purchase additional credits. You only pay for the AI processing you actually use. There are no subscriptions, recurring fees, or hidden charges.

Billing Terms

• Credits are deducted immediately upon story generation
• Unused credits do not expire
• All purchases are final and non-refundable
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create using SnoobieApp, including:

• Character descriptions and images you upload
• Story scenarios and text you provide
• Generated story panels and composite images

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI-Generated Content

SnoobieApp uses Google Gemini AI to generate story text and images. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before use
• AI-generated images and text are provided "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for any issues arising from AI-generated content

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any laws
• Generate content that is abusive, harassing, or discriminatory
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract AI models or algorithms
• Use automated systems to abuse or overload the Service
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
• Use the Service for commercial resale without permission

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Maintenance and updates
• Technical issues or failures
• Third-party service outages (Supabase, Google Gemini API)
• Force majeure events

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may add new features, remove existing features, or change functionality as we see fit.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNOOBIEAPP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms of Use, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. We will provide notice when possible, except in cases of serious violations.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by SnoobieApp and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SnoobieApp operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
